Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) develops and implements programs aimed at protecting the safety and well-being of the entire campus community. The safety training programs at Cal State Fullerton are intended to increase safety  awareness and to promote the safety and health of faculty, staff, and students.

What is the Employee Training Center?

The Employee Training Center is a learning management system that allows users to to view and register for training classes and monitor their training history.  All safety training classes are accessible through this portal.

Required Training Classes

You can view your training requirements by logging into the Employee Training Center

 

  1. Go to http://training.fullerton.edu/
  2. Click on the ETC Login link on QuickLinks
  3. Login using your campus ID and password
  4. On "My Menu", go to "My Training Requirements". This will show you what training has been assigned to you

Training History

  1. Go to http://training.fullerton.edu/
  2. Click on the ETC Login link on Quick Links
  3. Login using your campus ID and password
  4. On "My Menu", go to "My Reports".
  5. Go to "Transcript of All Training" and click the "Action Eye" to see a complete record of the training recorded in the Employee Training Center

How do I register for a Class - Faculty/Staff and Students?

Whether you want to register for an instructor-lead class or an online course, you must log into the Employee Training Center http://training.fullerton.edu  using your portal.

Faculty/Staff

To Register for (Online) Courses:

  1. Go to http://training.fullerton.edu/  
  2. Click on the ETC Login link
  3. Login using your campus ID and password
  4. Click on the Course Catalog link
  5. Type in a key phrase or Course ID number then click Go
  6. Click on the folder icon to open a folder
  7. Click on the Enroll link under the Action column that coordinates to the class you want
  8. Follow the prompts
  9. If you are  having trouble, contact the Employee Training Center Helpline at 657-278-2064

For Online Classes:

  • Disable pop-up blockers
  • Use Internet Explorer or Safari browsers

To Register for (Instructor-Lead) Courses:

  1. Go to http://training.fullerton.edu/
  2. Click on the ETC Login link
  3. Login using your campus ID and password
  4. Click on the Schedule link. This will bring up a calendar view. Search for the class you are looking for. Click the underlined class title.
  5. Click "Register" to enroll in the class.
  6. If you are still having trouble, contact the Employee Training Center Helpline at 657-278-2064.

Required classes:

  • Campus Health & Safety Key Phrase: campus health Course ID: CWB0001
  • Defensive Drivers Training Key Phrase: defensive Course ID: EHS0026A

Students

To Register for (Online) Courses:

  1. Log into your CSUF portal located at www.fullerton.edu
  2. Click on the Student Training tab (NOTE: If you don't see training tab go to "Profile" tab, activate training tab by clicking the box and then refreshing the screen)
  3. Click on the My Profile link
  4. Click on the Catalog link
  5. Enter a key phrase or Course ID in the search box
  6. Click Go
  7. Click the Launch link under the Action column that corresponds to the class you want to take and the training will open in a new window
  8. If you are still having trouble, contact the Employee Training Center Helpline at 657-278-2064.

To Register for (Instructor-Lead) Courses:

  1. Go to the CSUF Student Portal and login.
  2. Click on the "Student Training" tab. (NOTE: If you don't see training tab go to "Profile" tab, activate training tab by clicking the box and then refreshing the screen)
  3. Click on the "Calendar" link. Find the class you are looking for.
  4. Click the underlined class title.Click "Register" to enroll in the class.
  5. If you are still having trouble, contact the Employee Training Center Helpline at 657-278-2064

Trouble-Shooting Online Training Problems

These are the most common reason that users struggle with accessing online training. Before calling for help, be sure that you are meeting these requirements:

  1. Disable pop-up blockers.
  2. Use Internet Explorer if on a PC, and Safari if using MAC. Other web browsers are not compatible.
  3. Do NOT use an iPad.

Can I use my computer at home for online training?

You can use your home computer or laptop (in most cases) and start/stop your training sessions as necessary. The Employee Training Center tracks your registration and training progress, therefore, you can use any computer that's convenient.

How do I print a certificate of training?

A Certificate of Course Completion is not available for all classes. For those courses that have this feature, use the following directions:

 

EMPLOYEES - to print a Certificate of Course Completion:

Log-in to the Employee Training Center using your portal. Go to My Dashboard (homepage). Under the Completed Training section, click on the print link in the Certificate column that coordinates to the class that you took.

 

STUDENTS - to print a Certificate of Course Completion:

Log-in to the Titan Student Training Center using your portal. Go to Transcripts. Click on the print link in the Certificate column that coordinates to the class that you took.

Where is the Environmental Health and Safety office/training room?

The EHS office and training room are located right next door to each other in Parking Lot A South. Our building is next to the Parking & Transportation office.

Is there parking available at EHS?

Yes, there is parking available for the following groups:

  • Faculty/Staff - Lot A South
  • Students - Lot A
  • Visitors - There are two types of parking available at EHS: 30 minutes free for visitors and temporary parking permits.
  • Temporary permits are available for purchase at the Parking & Transportation office Monday-Friday from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, or by using the kiosks in Parking Lot A , located off of State College and Yorba Linda Blvd or in the State College Parking Structure off Gym drive and State College. Temporary permits are available for $2 per hour or $8 per day. For more information visit: www.parking.fullerton.edu
